John Green aka "Jake" was born 11 Sept 1827 at Westbury on the Severn, Gloucestor, England and came to America when he was 21 years.
He married Mary Ann Debolt . --- Mary Ann (Polly) Debolt was born in Union Co Indiana 18 April 1831, she married John Green 21 March 1851 in Union Co, Ind She died 11 April 1868, Penn TWP, Cass Co Michigan. (see below)John he died 6 of Sept 1902 at Willard, Shawnee Co, KS and was buried Uniontown Cemetary, Willard, Shawnee, KS.
All the children were born in Cass County, Michigan except 1 who was born in Indiana.
The children were:#1. Mary Ann Green born in Indiana ( no other info on her.)
#2. John Andrew Green Born 1852, Penn Twp, Cass Co, Penn Twp married Martha McClain on 27 Jan 1899 and died Hall, Buchanan Co, Missouri
#3. Martha Ellen Green B 25 Feb 1855 she died 2 March 1919 Married a Rosebrough. He was from Michigan, also.
#4. Charles F. Green B 10 April 1857 Cass Co married 26 of March 1888 at Maple Hill, Waubunsee Co KS
In Oct 1926 he was murdered and thrown in a shallow grave, found and was burried Nov 17, 1926 @ Banner Cemetary 10 miles East of Noble Oklahoma in Cleveland County next to his wife Maggie.
She died 12 Sept 1903.# 5 Robert Fulton Green, B 7 Aug 1862 Penn Twp, Cass Co Michigan. He died 22 November 1929 Topeka, Shawnee Co KS. He married Cora Belle Mead 21 December 1892 in Vandalia Cass Co Michigan. She died 24 July 1956 at Topeka, KS.
Cora was the daughter of Erastus Mead and Susan B. Snyder. Erastus was born 18 March 1837, Greens, Chenanga Co, NY and Died 3 July 1905 Penn Twp Cass Co Michigan. Erastus was buried Prairie Grove Cemetary So of Penn. He was the son of John J. Mead/Lovina Akley. His wife Susan B. Snyder B 22 Feb 1846 Wayne Ohio died 18 Feb 1909 Cassopolis, Cass Co Michigan. Buried Prairie Grove Cemetary (So of Penn,) . John Green left Cass Co sometime around 1870 after Mary "Polly" died as I found through census where the children were living different families including my Grandmother. She only appears once in Cass Co Census--the next time in KS. There was a close bond with Cass Co even after moving to KS as notes in family history spoke of trips to Michigan.Mary Ann Debolt is buried at Little Fish - Volonia Cemetary. She was my Great Grandmother, my Grandmother was Emalene Green Born 14 February 1863 Penn Twp, Cass Co Michigan Died 31 July 1942 Topeka, Ks at home of her daughter Minnie Lais, and is buried at Greenwood Cemetary, Belvue, KS She married Columbus Clayton Lytle 8 of Nov 1881 at Valencia, Shawnee, KS.
