History: Originally known  as Brookside Cemetery  and was laid off in the southwest corner of Dailey road and Dunning Street as a private burial ground by Joseph MdPherson.
First burial was that of his father-in-law, John Pettigrew (Petticrew) a  Revolutionary War Veteran.  When McPherson moved to La Porte County, Indiana he deeded this land to the
Board of Health of which was of  that time, a part of LaGrange Township, Cass County, Michigan . It is known as a protestant cemetery and has had names such as Brookside, Union Protestant
and Dailey Protestant or just Daily Cemetery.

Please keep in mind that the sites on Cass County were constructed by volunteers and are being maintained by volunteers
If you have additional information or photos of the stones in any of the Cass County Cemeteries, please contact us  see main index page for email address.
At one time Dailey church and the cemetery were connected in name and association but in the 1980's they became known as separate entities.

Any time you view an older cemetery, in no matter what county through out the USA, the listing should be considered as a partial listing as many times
records are either destroyed through mishap or not all burials were recorded.
