This cemetery is a very old cemetery and some stones have weathered poorly and are illegible.." I found the following errors while going over the Lamb family plot: Scrolling down past the Lamb Family stone, the first child is Lydia Obizda- not Grinda; below her is John F- that should be John T.;below him, Jarvus should be Jairus, born 1806, died March 13, 1842, aged 36 years- a photo of his headstone is attached to Jairus A. in the additional notes below, the 2nd photo for Jairus A. appears to correctly be his. And finally, after Jairus A. in the notes section, Ann Eliza is not a Lamb, but wife of G.W. Snider- her correct listing is just before the Lamb Family stone line. This really threw me off until I figured out what had happened in the survey- our Ann Eliza lamb remarried after Jairus' death and NOT to a Snider! She was my Gt, Gt.Grandmother.
In the meantime I have found Lydia's middle name is actually Orinda- she appears to have been named for her aunt, Lydia Orinda Minar, who is buried in Woodville cemetery in Jefferson Co., NY. She was married to John Minar, a brother of my gt. gt. grandmother Ann Eliza Minar Lamb Cox Snider. Which is the other update I have. Ann Eliza DID marry for a third time- to George W. Snider on April 7, 1867; the 1870 census enumerates children from both earlier marriages living in the Snider household. I have not found out what happened to George Snider but Ann Eliza is either in the Lamb plot or next to it. Interred by her first family with the Snider name. "- Kent A. Gebhard

Any time you view an older cemetery, in no matter what
county through out the USA, the listing should be considered as a partial
listing
as many times records are either destroyed through mishap or not
all burials were recorded. - Typed for the Internet by: Judy Morgan.
