Updated June 30, 2015 - Shaffer Cemetery is located on Lamb Road, Calvin Township. It is located in the South west corner of Calvin Towhip, in 1/4 of Northeast Section 32..
The listing below is mainly an older listing done several decades ago combined with a current study.
The Shaffer Cemetery is named for the Shaffer family, early residents of the community. Peter Shaffer born in Rockingham, Virginia; born 10 Jan 1791 to Abraham and Susannah Shaffer
later moved to Clark County, Ohio and then on here to Calvin Twp, Cass County in about 1832. His son George would inherit the acreage and then George's son William. All three men
and their family and friends are buried in this cemetery. If you have additional information or photos of the stones in any of the Cass County Cemeteries, please see our index page for contact info.
For photos of these graves also see Shaffer Cemetery
Any time you view an older cemetery, in no matter what county through out the USA, the listing should be considered as a partial listing as many times records are either destroyed through mishap or not all burials were recorded.
