BIOGRAPHY: According to church records, a Joseph Carter POST was baptised Feb 29, 1828 as the son of Hezekiah and Lucy POST, along with Charles Hezekiah [POST], Lucy Perly [POST] and Bela Clark [POST]. I have
since learned (from Sue Gable) that there was indeed another Joseph Carter Post, born to Hezekiah and Lucy Post at about the same time. The name "Carter" was a relatively common surname and is the maternal
grandmother's name in both cases.
