NOTES:  According to the records I have compiled, Soloman and his first wife married in Vermont and their first child was born there abt 1831.  They then moved to New York and stayed for some time where their second child was born abt 1834.  Around 1837 they moved to Michigan, first settling in Jackson Co., their third child was born in Michigan abt 1838.  They settled in Colon, St. Joseph Co., Mi, in 1840.  The rest of their children were born in Colon.   Soloman's first wife dies aft 1850 and Soloman marries Lousia Bartlett possibly in NY and they have two children.  They own land near Colon and are farmers.  Soloman is mentioned as being on the board of trustees for the Methodist Church in 1856.  Both Soloman and Louisa live the rest of their lives in Colon, although I can not find a death record or obituary for Soloman.  I believe he died early in the year of 1885. Their land is deeded over to their daughter Alida DeWitt and she and her husband live there till she dies in 1927.  He husband William DeWitt is a teacher.  They have three children.

Their son Alvin marries Susanna Lyter from near by Branch Co., who is the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Lyter.  Susannah and Alvin move to Sheridan Co., NE where they homesteaded some land near Gordon, NE.  He and Susannah have seven children.  Alvin and Susannah are my GG Grandparents.

I know very little about the children of Soloman's first marriage to Sarah.  Allen lived with them all of his life and never married and is buried next to his parents.  Alida and her husband William, and infant son are in the adjacent plot to Soloman & Louisa in Lakeside Cemetery.
