SMALL, RUFUS D. born Lisbon, ME. Aug 2, 1824; died Oct 19, 1899; son of Samuel Small who died in 1897 at the age of 93 years. Was of cousin of Abraham Lincoln. In his early life he was a sailor and sailed in the Atlantic and in the Great Lakes area. Moved to Michigan 40 years ago residing first in Greewood, St. Clair Co. then moved to Richmond, Macomb Co. to Howard City and lastly to Cedar Springs. He married Feb 17, 1848 Hannah A. Kilgore.
