FATAL ACCIDENT.—We learn from the Lapeer Republican that Geo. Carpenter, of Attica, Lapeer county, was killed by the discharge of a gun, on the 19th inst. He was hunting in the woods, with his gun in hand, and, in climbing over a log, the gun caught and, exploded, killing him instantly.—Pontiac Jacksonian, July 28.
