Some of the pre-1923 newspapers, and most newspapers after 1923, are on microfilm which is available at the West Branch Library and also the Ogemaw District Library in Rose City. Anyone having clippings, entire newspapers, or partial newspapers dated prior to 1923 are asked to send copies to the Rose City Historical Society, Post Office Box 736, Rose City, MI 48654. The Society will then make these copies available to researchers in Ogemaw County.

If you desire copies of news items listed in these indexes and are unable to travel to local libraries, the Rose City Historical Society has offered to make copies and email them or make hard copies and send them U.S. Postal Service. Please give exact details of the information you desire: name of newspaper, date, page number, column number, name of person, and any other helpful information. Please note that Society members are volunteering their time to assist you. Keep requests to a minimum. Donations are requested to help cover costs of copies, postage, envelopes, and volunteer's gasoline.
