Pioneer School District was located north of the present town of Rose City on West Rose City Road,
Township 24 North, Range 3 East, Rose Township. The school is no longer in existance and the land was
later purchased by the Butler family.
No records exist on who donated the land, who built the school,
or who taught there. If you have any
information concerning the Pioneer School, you are asked to contact the Ogemaw County Coordinator,
Grace Dooley.
