SS DOGGERBANK

The Dutch ship, "Doggerbank", left Amsterdam, Netherlands, and sailed into New York harbor on 6 August, 1847.
The passengers were all farmers, and settled in the "Kolonie" in Holland, Michigan, and Roseland, Illinois.
The Parlbergs and Pools were subjects in Edna Ferber's book, "So Big", which is centered in Roseland, Illinois.
