Stephen G. Owens Family                    Stephen G. Owens and his first wife, Matilda M. Rosegrant Descendants of Stephen G. Owens Generation No. 1 1. STEPHEN G.1 OWENS was born 07 Feb 1835 in Dundee, Monroe, MI, and died 20 Mar 1907 in Polkton Tp., Ottawa - Coopersville Cemetery. He married (1) NANCY BUNNELL. She died 25 Nov 1894 in Polkton Tp., Ottawa. He married (2) MATILDA M. ROSEGRANT 15 Mar 1857 in Michigan. She was born Abt. 1837, and died 22 Apr 1887 in Polkton Tp., Ottawa. He married (3) MARIA S. PARMENTER 14 Mar 1898. She died Aft. Mar 1907. Notes for STEPHEN G. OWENS: Stephen came to Polkton Township in 1865 where he owned a farm. In 1899 he sold the farm and he and his third wife, Maria, moved to Coopersville where they lived until his death. He is buried in Coopersville Cemetery. His daughter, Ida, was married to ?? Michigan; d. 06 Feb 1905, Michigan.                    Two pictures of Eva Coson.  She was raised by Stephen and Matilda.  It is unsure whether she was related to them or not. Eva was murdered in Grand Rapids in 1904.
