Sligh, Hatch, Miles, De Kraker, Honsinger and Charter were in Company F.
Holmes and Bortle were in Company E.

These men all served in the First Michigan Engineers and Mechanics during the Civil War. 

Captain James Sligh was in command of these men and was killed in a train accident while the men were out on patrol.    You can see where Louis De Kraker pasted Sligh's  photo into the picture.
