As we go to press we learn of the death of William Blom, at 1:30 this (Friday) afternoon. The deceased was one of the veterans of the 25^th Michigan Infantry. He died of cancer in the neck, aged 54 years, leaving a wife and two children. The funeral will take place Monday afternoon, at 2 o’clock, from one of the churches in the city. The members of the A. C. Van Raalte Post, G. A. R., and all the old soldiers are expected to meet at the Post Room at one o’clock P. M., of that day.
