28 November 1944 - Holland Sentinel

Johannes (Joe) Bronkhorst, 61, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday in Holland hospital where he was admitted following a heart attack Saturday night. He was born August 18, 1883, in Holland township and been employed at the Holland Furniture Co., for many years. He lived at 66 West 19^th street and was a member of Fourteenth Street Christian Reformed Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Rymer Scholma of Birch Lake, Vandalia; a brother, William Bronkhorst of Holland; a sister in law, Mrs. Albert Bronkhorst, Yakima Valley, Washington; and his father in law Gerrit Appledorn, Sr., His wife, the former Miss Hannah Appledorn, died November 23, 1942. The body was removed to the Dykstra Funeral home where it will remain until funeral arrangements are completed. Burried in Pilgram Home Cemetery, Holland, Ottawa, Michigan
