Obituary of Raymond H. Allen

SAUGATUCK-Raymond H. Allen, 57 of Saugatuck, died Sunday at his home, following an apparent heart attack.

He was born in Holland, lived in this area all of his life and was a Holland High graduate.

He formerly owned and operated Allen TV in Grand Haven and Holland and also was former owner and operator of the Cavalier Restaurant, Holland.

He was a member of the Saugatuck United Methodist Church and a member of the Holland Elks and Moose lodges.

Surviving are his wife Doris; three sons, Dennis R. Allen and Robert J., both of Holland and Blair M. of Emporia, Kan.; four grandchildren; a brother, Harold Allen of Holland; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Jane) Veersma of Holland and Mrs. James (Helen) Essenburg of Holland and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held from the United Methodist Church, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Richard McClain officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may meet the family Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dykstra Saugatuck Chapel.
