Carol C. (Doc) Hansen, 83, of 3261 - 47th Ave., Hamilton, died Saturday, June 25, at Zeeland Community Hospital.

Born in Holland, Hansen was a member of First United Methodist Church, Holland. He was the founder and chairman of the board of Hansen Machine Co., Holland.

Hansen was a member and past master of Masonic Order Crescent Lodge Number 322 of Grand Haven. He and his wife Ruth (Reimink) Hansen had been married for 53 years.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife Ruth; three daughters, Marilyn Darby of Allegan, Nancy Krechtel of Roswell, N.M. and Roma Van Haarn of Holland; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers; Homer Hansen of Columbiana, Ohio and Elton Hansen of Grand Rapids; and one sister, Hilda Curtis of West Olive.

Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist church with the Rev. Harold Filbrandt officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Hamilton.

Calling hours are set from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Notier-Ver Lee-Langeland Chapel, 316 E. 16th St.

Memorial gifts may be given to the Michigan Heart Association or to the First United Church Memorial Fund.
