George W. Edgeler

George W. Edgeler, aged 80 years, died early Wednesday morning at his home at 64 West 12th Street. Mr. Edgeler was born in Paterson, N. J., on October 13, 1842, three days after his parents arrived in this country from England. Later his family moved to Providence, R. I., and about 40 years ago Mr. Edgeler came to Michigan.

He served in the Civil War, being a member of the Fourth Regiment of the Rhode Island Volunteers. After serving a year and a half, he was wounded, and from the effects of the wound he never quite recovered.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Edna Haven of Muskegon, and three sisters in Providence, Rhode Island.

The funeral will be held at his home, Rev. G. B. Flaming officiating.
