Nathaniel Erskine, a member of the G. A. R. Post of this city and a local resident for many years, died at his home, 24 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Grand Rapids. Mr. Erskine had reached the age of 72 years. He is survived by a widow and one daughter.

The funeral will be held here on this afternoon at two o’clock from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Willis King, 9 East Ninth Street. The Rev. Mr. Eaveld will officiate.

(During the Civil War, Nathaniel Erskine served in the 26^th Michigan Infantry, Co. F. He is buried in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.)
