Alva Hayward

Alva G. Hayward died at his home in Nunica, Tuesday morning, aged 61 years. He served during the Rebellion and had two honorable discharges from the service. He had lived in this county for many years. Decedent is survived by his wife and the following children: Henry of Concord, New Hampshire; Mrs. Ella Stevens of Grand Haven; Mrs. Alta Plant of Crockery, and Charles and Bertha at home.

The funeral will be held Friday with services at noon from the late home in Crockery Township and at 2 o’clock from the M. E. church in Nunica, the Rev. Ford of Coopersville officiating. The funeral will be under the auspices of the Nunica G. A. R., Company F. Michigan National Guard of Grand Haven, of which the deceased had been a member for many years, will attend in a body. The funeral will be strictly military.
