 Johnson Funeral Rites observed
Funeral Services for Karen M. Johnson were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Waggener & Campbell chapel with Rev Frank B Hill officiating.
During the services Clide Carr sang two hymns with Mrs. J M Carlson as organist.  Interment was in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery. A. J. Shaw, George Poole, Alfred Evenson, Clarence Evenson, E. F. Dickinson And Clyde Stewart were pallbearers.

Karen Marie Johnson was born in Kragero, Norway, Aug 21 1864 to Anders Andersen and Berta Ellefsen Andersen
She was united in marriage October 29, 1882 to Erik Johan Johannessen in Kragero, Norway.  In 1887, with two of their children, they came to America to make their home, settleing in Holland, Michigan, where they lived until 1902, when they came to Kalispell.
Mrs/ Johnson was a member of the Lutheran Church in Norway. She was preseded in death by her husband Erik in 1934, and for the past 17 years, she made her home with her daughter Magdalean, Mrs Thomas A Flynn. at 1023 First avenue east, where she died March 28 at the age of 86 years.

Besides her daughter, Mrs. Flynn, she is survived by two other daughters: Bertha, Mrs Edward Adrian Rose, of Holland, MI,  and Eleanore Gertrude, Mrs. Benny P. Lee. both of Kalispell; two sons Carl Johan Johnson, of Spokane, Washington, and Andrew Johnson of West Palm Beach, Florida, nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service

Erik Johan Johnson

 Tuesday afternoon at three thirty o´clock, funeral services were held for Erik J Johnson at the Waggener & Campbell chapel by Rev. Harold Stark of the Presbyterian church assisted by Rev. G. Barnum of Bozeman. There were many beautiful flowers hunged about the casket, and many friends attended the services.  A male quartette composed of W. F. Ruegsegger, A. P. Bruce, A. Dunsire, and H. M. Huck sang two hymn selections accompanied at the piano by Miss Helen Elliot. Those serving as pallbearers were (son) Andrew Johnson, Thomas A. Flynn, Thomas Richard Flynn, Bennie P. Lee, Howard E. Rose, and J. G. Van Amburgh. Interment was in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery.

Obituary:
Erik Johan Johnson was born in Kvarnfors, Sweden, April 28 1860,( ed: to Johan Mattson, b 1829 and Anna Magdalena Carlsson Sweden 1832-Kragero, Norway 1913) and passed away June 3 1934 In Kalispell, at the age of 75 years. He was united in marriage to Karen Marie Andersen in Kragero.
They came to Holland, Michigan, in 1887,  and moved to Kalispell in 1902, where he has since resided with his family.  At an early age, he was confirmated in  in the Norwegian Lutheran church, and is still a member of that church.
He was a kind and loving husband and father, always finding something him to keep him busy, and was untiring and  unceasing in his efforts  to bringing comfort and happiness to others.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Marie Johnson, two sons: Andrew Johnson of Chicago, Ill, and Carl Johan Johnson of Spokane, Washington, and three daughters:  Bertha, Mrs Edward Adrian Rose, of Holland, Mich. and Anna Magdalean, Mrs. Thomas A. Flynn,  and Eleanore Gertrude, Mrs. Bennie P. Lee of Kalispell, two sisters Gertie Johnson of Kalispell (Greta Sofia Johansen)  and Mrs. Wilhelmina Kristensen in Norway; nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Eleanore Gertrude Lee, 68, were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Waggener & Campbell chapel with Dr. S. McMaster Kerr, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Interment followed in the family section of the Conrad Memorial Cemetery, with Edward Lee, Clarence Evensen, Manuell Miller, Woodrow Miller, H. E. Johnson and Lyle Everett as pallbearers.

 Eleanore Gertrude Johnson Lee, was born Nov 24 1889 in Holland, Michigan, to Erik John Johnson and Karen Marie Andersen Johnson. She received her early schooling in Michigan and in 1902 they came to the Flathead with her parents, to make her home in Kalispell. She became a seamstress and was active in that work until she retired two years ago.

 In 1929, she was married to Bennie P. Lee, who preceded his wife in death on Feb 20 1953.
Mrs. Lee died in her home at 651 Second Ave. West-North in Kalispell Sept 8, 1958.

Surviving her, are two sisters, Bertha Aldina, Mrs Edward A Rose, and Anna Magdalean, Mrs Thomas Andrew Flynn, both of Kalispell, and one brother Andrew Johnson of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Mrs. Bertha Aldena Johnson Rose, 93, resident of Kalispell, died Sunday afternoon in the Bigfork Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Rose was born March 1, 1883, in Kragero, Norway, a daughter of Erik Johan and Karen Marie Andersen Johnson. She came to America with her parents in 1888 and made her home in Holland, Michigan. On March 19, 1902, she was married to Edward Adrian Rose in Holland. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Kalispell, where she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, on May 13, 1932.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by three sons, Howard E. Rose, of Yakima, Wash, Robert K., and Edison A., both of Kalispell, one daughter ,Hazel Aemisegger, Mrs Conrad H. Laughlin, of Walla Walla, Wash, nine grandchildren, 19 grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, at 2 pm in the Johnson chapel with Dr. Odin Baugh, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
