I see that everyone named Knutson in Holland are from the same norwegian family. In some listings they are named Knutzon. The two brothers Nils Henrik Knutson (single) and Hans Christian Knutson m t Gunhild Carine Brynhildsen immigrated 1864. I specified the listings in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Chris W. Knutson Funeral Rites Set
Funeral services for Chris W. Knutson, 82, of 475, West 32 Street, who died at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City, early Wednesday will be heldSaturday at 1 p.m. at Notier Ver-Lee  Langeland Chapel. Burial will be at Graafshap Cemetery.

Mr. Knutson was born in Holland, was a Holland High graduate,  and attended the University of Michigan.
After working in Owosso for some time, he moved to Flint to be an electrical engineer with the Buick Motor Division of General Motors Corp.
He retired in 1953, and he and his wife had made their home in Holland since that time.
He was a member of Third Reformed Church, the Adult Bible Class, and was also a member of the Flint Industrial Executive Club.
Surviving, are the wife Kate Steketee Knutson, a daughter Mrs. Eugene Chapin (Nina Jean) Whitney of Pittsburgh, PA, a son Charles Robert Knutson, of Fenton, seven grandchildren, three grand-grand-children, a sister Mrs Oletta (Harry C/) Forbes of Monticello, Indiana,  a brother, Carlton Oscar Knutson of Walker Minn.
Friends may meet the family Friday  from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 at the chapel.

Jenorus O. Knutson, 62, died at Holland Hospital Sunday night following short illness. His home was at 437 West 32nd Street,. He was a master plumber by trade, and was a member of First Methodist Church.
Survivors include the wife Ethel Ann, a sister, Mrs. Harry C. Forbes of Chicago, Carl Knutson of Chicago, and Christian Walter Knutson of Flint.
Private funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 pm from the Nibbelink- Notier Funeral Home, with public rites at 2 p.m. from First Methodist Church.
The Rev. J. Kenneth Hollmaster will officiate, and burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Graafshap Cemetery for Mrs Ethel Knutson, 84, former Holland resident, who died Thursday morning at a nursing home in Corunna. The Rev. D. R Salisbury will officiate. Mrs. Knutson had left Holland seven or eight years ago to make a home with a brother in Durand. She was a member of the first United Methodist Church of Holland and its Ladies Bible Class. She formerly had lived on West 32 Street.

Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday in Durand. Among the survivors, is a sister-in-law, Kate; Mrs. Chris Knutson.

 The Builders Class of Third Methodist Church met at the home of  (Marie Knutson) Mrs. Charles Stelle Scott Friday evening for the installations of officers.

Following the meeting a birthday and farewell party was held for Mrs. Ethel Knutson who is leaving to make her home with her brother Harry Dell in Durant.  Invited guests were the Ladies Bible Class, and entertainment was provided by Miss Paula Jo Mitchell , (later Mrs. Craig Van Dyke) who lived in Hawaii for three years.

Basnett Dell, a former resident of Coopersville, died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Ethel; Mrs. Jenorous O. Knutson in Holland.  He was born February 28, 1860 at St. Catherine's, Ontario and came to Michigan when he was 10 with the family and settled on a farm near Port Sheldon.  He worked in the early days in the mills in Muskegon and later in farming.  He married Emma GIBBS of Nunica on February 28, 1880 and she passed away in 1934.  In 1890, he was engaged in the grocery business, now occupied by the Peoples State Bank, in Coopersville with the family living in the apartment above Lillie's store.  In 1897, he was employed at the Grand Trunk Railroad, serving at various stations as agent and operator and retired at the age of 70.  His last position was at the Plainfield Ave. yard office in Grand Rapids.  Mr. Dell had a wide circle of friends over the state where he was known as a veteran checker player and held the title of Honorary President of the Michigan State Checker Club.  He was also a member of the Masons and Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the Order of the Railroad Telegraphers.  He is survived by daughter, Ethel Ann Knutson, of Holland and son, Harry B. DELL, dispatcher for the Grand Trunk at Durand; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie M. SPARROWK of Des Moines, Iowa and Mrs. Elizabeth ESTELLE, of Grand Rapids. A host of other relatives and friends will mourn the loss of a good, kind, and honest man.  Funeral services were held Wednesday at the home of his daughter in Holland and at 2:30 at the Methodist Church in Nunica.  Burial was in the Spring Lake Cemetery.

Margaret Kelly Knutson

Mrs. Margaret Knutson, 95, died Tuesday morning at the Brower Nursing Home in Plainwell, where she had been a patient for some weeks.
She was born in Jefferson, Illinois, July 10, 1858, and when a young girl, came to Castle Park with her father and three  younger children following the death of her mother in Chicago.
With no neighbors and in a strange place, she worked and helped keep the family together in what was then in wilderness, and although she had been blind for some time, she loved to recall those days.
She was the former Margaret Kelly. Kelly's Lake near Castle Park was named for her father.
Her late husband, Charles Knutson, was a caretaker at Macatawa Park for many years. Only survivors are nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from Dykstra Funeral Chapel with the Rev John O Hagans of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Graafshap Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Gunnar (Martha Carrie Knutsen) Anderson, 79, a former Holland resident, died Saturday in Abbey Delray Health Center following an extended illness.

Born in Holland, May 28 1900,), she lived there until 1968 when she moved to Florida, following her retirement from the Baker Furniture Company in Holland.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ann, Mrs. Lemuel J. Harris of Laguna Hills, California, and Shirley; Mrs. Donald B. Houge of Boca Raton, Florida. Four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters; Marie, Mrs. Charles Scott, and Ruth Evangeline; Mrs. Robert Collison of Decatur, Ill.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 pm. at the Dykstra Northwood Chapel with the Rev. William C. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the chapel Wednesday from 7 p.m. until funeral time.

 Mrs. Rena Knutson, 84, formerly of 247, West 12th Street, died this morning at the home of her son, Hans James Knutson, 560 Lawn Ave.
Mrs Knutson was born in the Netherlands, and came to this community as a girl of 8. In 1890, she married Jacob Knutson who died in 1930.
She was a member of The First Methodist Church, where she had been active in the Ladies Bible Class and the WSCS.
She is survived by three daughters, Miss Eveline Carey Knutson of East Saugatuck, Mrs. Myrtle M. (Roalf E. Stuits) of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Earl (Margaret) Fuller of Allegan, two sons Earl Raymond Knutson of Grand Rapids, and Hans James of Holland. Six grandchildren, nine great-grandchidren, two sisters, Kate; Mrs. John Van Wingen, of Grand Rapids, and Fanny; Mrs. George Steinbrecker of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 2 p.m. at Nibbelink-Notier funeral Chapel, with the Rev.. John O. Hagans officiating. Burial will be in Graafshap Cemetery. Friends may meet the family at the funeral chapel Friday from 4-5 and 7-9 p.m.

Hans J. Knutson, 74, of Leland, formerly of Holland, died Wednesday at Suttons Bay following a short illness. He retired a few years ago from Hart and Cooley Mfg., Holland, and moved with his wife to their retirement home in Leland. His wife was employed as a teacher for the Holland Public Schools.
Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Christine Garthe, a son Garth J. Knutson, and a daughter Antonia.
Two sisters, Mrs. Margaret (Earl) Fuller of Allegan, and Mrs. Myrtle (Roalf Stuits) of Grand Rapids. Also a brother, Earl Raymond Knutson of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Ray and Robert Martinson Funeral Home, Suttons Bay with funeral at Northport Cemetery.
