Sophie Caroline Peterson, Mrs Hans Petter Knutson

Injured in a fall down the basement steps of her home Tuesday  at  10:30 a.m., Mrs Caroline Knutson, 80, residing at 32nd St . Ottawa Ave, died about 2 p.m. in Holland Hospital of cerebral hemorrhage.  She fell while carrying clothes from her upstairs apartment  to the basement.  Mrs. Knutson, widow of Hans Peter Knutson, was removed to the hospital after a physician had been summoned to the home.  Her son, Jenerous, who lives in the lower apartment, was outside when the aged woman fell. Hearing the noise of her fall, he rushed to her assistance.
Her survivors are a daughter (Oletta,)  Mrs Harry Charles Forbes of Chicago, three sons; Chris Knutson of Flint, Carlton Knutson of Chicago, and Jenorus at home; two brothers;  City Clerk Oscar Peterson of Holland and John Peterson of Barker Creek; and a sister( Carrie Anna)  Mrs. Paul Pearson, of Holland.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m.  in the home on West 32 St. with burial in Graafshap Cemetery . The Rev. W.G Flowerday will officiate. The body will be taken to the home Thursday morning.
Following Mrs. Knutsons death, Michigan and Indiana state police were solicited to locate a sister of Mrs Knutson, Mrs Paul Pearson, 154 West 14th Street, who had left Thursday morning with her husband and Mr and Mrs Walter Nelson, 22 East 16th Street, on a vacation trip to Florida. Mr and Mrs Pearson were located in Louisville. They left aboard a passenger train Thursday night for Chicago and were to arrive in Holland this afternoon.
