William McFall

The death of William McFall, one of the old residents of this section, occurred yesterday afternoon at his home on the Grand Haven Road, about 4 miles north of the city. His age was 62 years, and he had been ill for some time. He is survived by six children. Mr. McFall was a member of Co. I, 25th Michigan Infantry, having enlisted at this place in ‘62. He was also a member of the Van Raalte Post, G. A. R., and the funeral will be held under the auspices of that body. It will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock at the M. E. Church. Rev. J. T. Bergen will preach the funeral sermon. Members of the G. A. R., preceded by a martial band, will escort the body to its resting place in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
