Dwight Miner

Dwight Miner was a Civil War Veteran. He enlisted in the 1st New York Marine Artillery, Co. A on March 16, 1862 and was discharged February 1, 1863.

The 1880 U. S. Federal Census lists Dwight Miner as living in Rush Shiawasee, Michigan, born in New York, 38, a farm laborer and a single man.

The 1890 United States Special Veterans Census lists Dwight Miner living in Allendale, Michigan. Dwight Miner applied for pension benefits stating that he suffered from rheumatism. Military records list him as an invalid.

The 1900 Federal Census lists Dwight Miner as living in Kalamazoo, Ward 5, as a patient and a single man.

Dwight Miner was buried in Allendale Township Cemetery on June 10, 1909 in lot # 239.
