Enos Parrish

Enos Parrish was born July 26, 1827, in New York, the son of Eli and Elisabeth (Lathrop) Parrish. He joined Company K, Third Regiment United States Dragoons (cavalry) and fought in the war with Mexico in 1846. In December, 1863, he joined Co. E, First Michigan Light Artillery, but participated only in the battle of Nashville and a few skirmishes during the Civil War. The rest of the time he was on special assignment with Corps headquarters.

Enos Parrish died April 16, 1902 and is buried in Allendale Township Cemetery.
