Obituary of Lester Slagh

Mr. Lester SLAGH - Of Zeeland, died Sunday, April 27, 1997 at his home. He was a member of First Reformed Church of Zeeland, where he served on the Consistory and taught Sunday School. He was a member of Gideons International and Portage Recording Ministries. He also served on the Zeeland Public School Board, and received the Lifelong Learner Award. He served as a teacher and administrator in the Portage School District. He was co-owner of Top-Line Equipment, and Black River Pallet Company.

Mr. SLAGH also served in the Army during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Lorraine of Zeeland; sons, Bradley and Carol SLAGH and Ross and Lori SLAGH, all of Zeeland; 5 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 1997 at First Reformed Church, Zeeland, with the Rev. Scott Van Oostendorp officiating. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, and 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St., Zeeland, MI. Burial will be in Zeeland Cemetery.
