Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Waffle, aged respectfully 81 and 83 years, were admitted to the Hospital of the Soldiers’ Home at Grand Rapids. The sensational tragedy two years ago when their son, Jasper, shot his sister, and later his body was found in a cornfield, proved such a terrible shock to the aged couple that their health has since been failing rapidly.
