Class of 1916 - May 19
Honor Graduates, Hudsonville High School

Miss Isabel Evers - Having successfully completed the course in the local high school, and standing the highest in the record of the senior class, Miss Isabel Evers will give the valedictory, and Miss Etta Gerritt the salutatory at the coming commencement.
Conditions incident to changes made in the requirements of proficiency in the grades under the management of Supt. Bert Elliot, made the graduating class of 1916 the smallest in the history of the high school here; but while the commercial condition is small the qualification is par excellent. The limited exercises of commencement will be next Sunday evening. The Rev. J. F. Friend, the pastor of the Congregational church here, will deliver the baccalaureate address. After the speaking the superintendent will deliver the diplomas.
A part, at least, of the graduating class will attend normal school in questing......(unreadable)
Much credit is due Superintendent Elliot and his six assistants for the improved condition of the grades in the school, placing it upon a basis equal to the best.
