HUNTING ACCIDENT FATAL TO EDWARD KELLOGG

Edward, Kellogg, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kellogg, former residents of
Onaway, now of Pontiac, was instantly killed Sunday morning in a freak accident. He
was hunting in Ocqueoc Township with his parents and a friend, Donald Zorn. He and
Zorn were walking on a logging road carrying his gun in his right hand. He turned to
the left suddenly which brought the muzzle of the gun to his chin and caused the gun
to discharge. The bullet entered the lower part of his face and out of the back part
of his head, killing him instantly. The body was bought to the Karr Funeral Home and prepared for burial and
transferred to the Schutt Funeral Home in Pontiac. Funeral services were held
Wednesday afternoon. Onaway Outlook November 20, 1958.
