CAPTION: Allis Township board members Russ Hayner, Judy Burkhart, E.L. Porter and Cecil Chowen honored Esther Dumsch with the presentation of a plaque in gratitude for her 32 years of service to the township. The plaque was presented to her at the Presque Isle County Township meeting June 14, 1979. In other Onaway news, member of the Onaway Courthouse Building restoration committee, city manager Jim Badgero and city representative Dave Thompson toured the historic structure with Jacob Deegan, a representative of Michigan's man in Washington D.C., Don Riegle. The senator's aide visited Onaway to meet constituents and help cut red tape for area projects...More than 50 Girl Scouts braved the elements and flocks of mosquitoes for five days on the annual Girl Scout summer camp at Onaway State Park. The girls participated in games and earned camping patch merits.
