CAPTION: Arnold's Radio and T.V., long a landmark on Onaway's State Street, was getting ready to fall at the hand of the wrecking ball in the spring of 1978 to become a new B & C parking lot. In other Onaway News, candidates for basketball homecoming were announced at Onaway High School. The students in homecoming court included, Amy Gillet, Bob Szymoniak, Heidi Horrocks, Mark Adams, Louise Szymoniak, Andy LaForest, Marie Lagerloff and Louis Solano. Lagerloff and Solano were foreign exchange students from Sweden and Venezuela...the Onaway Cheese Factory was advertising 18 varieties of cheese to choose from. The product was "made and aged in our factory." They had Friday and Saturday hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
