CAPTION: Following a big snow, this was the view from the office of the Onaway News looking toward Booth's Body Shop and Glen's barbershop. At the time, snow was piled from two to five feet high along sidewalks with mere paths along the sidewalks. Many pedestrians chose to walk in the street. In other Onaway news, Army Pvt. 1st Class Allen Auger, 21, whose parents Mr. and Mrs. Richard T. Auger and wife Bonnie live on Route 1 in Onaway, participated in a major operation with the 1st Air Cavalry Division in Vietnam. Auger, a grenadier in Company B, 5th Battalion of the division's 7th Cavalry, and other members of the division were conducting operations near Bong Song on the East Coast.
