CAPTION: Cecil Hodgetts returned for a special visit to the Presque Isle County Board of Road Commissioners to present the gavel to newly-elected board chairman Bob Schell. Hodgetts retired at the end of 1978 after 12 years of service and was outgoing chairman. Along with appointing Schell as the new chairman, board members also gave their tentative approval for a $1.3 million proposed budget. In other Onaway news, it was the second week in a row, sledders on the Oak Street hill at the corner of Oak and Fardon were being warmed to stay away. Onaway Police Department chief Jim Badgero warned parents and children of possible hazards of sledding on the hill. The chief said the hill was an accident waiting to happen for sledders and motorists, and asked children to find other places to sled.
