This week's postcard is taken from a boat in 1908. On the far left are the ferry dock and limestone quarry. Looking closely one can see five railroad cars loaded with timber, on its way to the A.W.R. Co. in Onaway, via the Onaway and Northern Michigan Railroad. At the end of the Presque Isle- Cheboygan County Line Road, one can see Charlie Bonz's first boathouse. The Pflueger Tackle Co. stayed in one of Charlie's cabins and tested their lures in the Black Lake. The cabins to the right would be on the Bonz Beach Highway. The message on the back is to an uncle from his niece, that states that they are having lots of fun, the fishing is good and the berries are plentiful, life is good here. The card postmark is from Onaway July 30, 1908.
