Medford "Baldy" Portice Still Enjoys a Game of Pool...and...The Onaway City Commission Covers Several Issues at Its Regular Meeting From Presque Isle County Advance and Onaway Outlook August 8, 2019

  
CAPTION: Medford "Baldy" Portice had been chalking up at Havel's Northland Bar
since he began playing in the senior league several years ago.  Though no longer
a member, he still enjoyed a friendly game on an occasional afternoon.  Northland
regulars claimed the bar's burgers were the best in town and a nonpartisan out-of-town
customer who stopped in for a beer and a burger took one bite and agreed.  "They're
very good," a patron said.  "In fact, they're excellent."  A myriad of issues were
covered at a regular meeting of the Onaway City Commission, including the Onaway
library, city water rates and problems, renewal of the articles of incorporation for 
Russell Memorial Hospital, house numbering plans and the Onaway Courthouse Building
restoration.
