CAPTION: Beatty's Village Corner took out an impressive Christmas ad that included, from left, Marv, Marma, Patti, Kaye, Cathy and April. In other Onaway News, the Dec. 21, 1977 edition had an article about a new sewage system for the city. Peter Chenard, an engineer with the Gaylord-based Granger Engineering, Inc., addressed the Onaway City Commission. The project, which would be funded through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources was well down the priority list, but he said early planning was important. And in other news, Onaway bands wished a musical Merry Christmas to the community with an excellent concert. The crowd of 500 people thoroughly enjoyed the program.
