1966 - Dale Anderson Graduates From West Point and OHS Graduates 58 From Presque Isle County Advance and Onaway Outlook May 26, 2016

  
CAPTION: Cadet Dale Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin A. Anderson of Onaway, was scheduled to graduate from the
U.S. Military Academy at West Point.  Anderson was to be commissioned as second lieutenant in the Corps of Engineering
and received a bachelor of science degree. Appointed to the West Point by former Representative Victor A. Knox, he was
a 1961 graduate of Onaway High School.  He also attended Michigan State University.  While at the academy, the 22-year-old 
was a member of the cadet band and the outdoor sportsmen's club.  During his senior year, he held the rank of lieutenant
in the Corps of Cadets and was a battalion supply officer.  In other Onaway News, commencement week at Onaway High
School was filed with activities for 58 seniors.  Diplomas were going to be presented by Neil Whitsitt, school board
president.
