CAPTION: April 8, 1923
This week's picture comes from our collection of postcards. The date is April 18, 1923. Looking closely, one can see a second column of smoke behind and lower than the smoke from the first engine.
Another postcard that we have shows both engines, but not as many people.
Take note of the shovels that some of the men have in their hands. Looking at the plow itself, it appears that it may have jumped the track.
We think the picture was taken between the County Line Railroad and M-95 (now M-211).
We can only hope that April 2015 does not provide us with this much snow.
