CAPTION:  Ed Szala pointed with pride that Szala Flowers had been selected as one
of the top 100 florists from among 18,000 across the United States who had demonstrated
the highest professional standards in the floral industry.  Pushing petals in Onaway
for 21 years, the creative and artistic work of the Szalas was well-known in the area.
In other news, Presque Isle County Sheriff's Department employees signed a petition asking
a three-person committee to appoint acting sheriff Mike Peltz to the vacancy created by
the death of sheriff Duane Badder.  Bob McLean collected his winter's venison near the 
Black River Ranch on the season opener.
