CAPTION: Edna Lound was chosen by the Onaway Chamber of Commerce to be the 1979 Fourth of July parade marshal. The 60-year resident had been serving customers in her grocery store longer than any business in Onaway...in other Onaway news, a new subcommittee of the Onaway Courthouse Building restoration committee conducted an organizational meeting to go over the building and begin research into the history of the structure. In addition to Carol Northcott, Geri McGinn, Edith Schultz and Harriet Anderson, new members came on board. They were Newt Chapman, Beth Lyon, Glee Elowsky, Bev Hyde, Sally Rushton, Shirley Lonsdale, Richard McGinn and Arlee Strauch.
