CAPTION: A host of Onaway friends gathered at St. Paul Catholic Church Community Hall, July 26, 1978, for a final public farewell to the John Connell family. The coach accepted a new position with the Standish-Sterling school system. Norris Horrocks, representing the St. Paul Church committee would not say goodbye to the Connell family, but he said the community would loan them to the Standish area. In other Onaway news, delegates of the state 4-H Horse Show were picked at the Presque Isle County 4-H Horse Achievement Show. They were Gladys Newhouse, Kerry Kubachi and Ralph Burns. Advertisers in the Aug. 2, 1978 edition of the Onaway Outlook were Pine Lumber Company, Brewbaker's, 211 Bar and Tim's Sunoco.
