CAPTION: John Krage was named varsity basketball coacy by the Onaway Area Community
Schools board of education, July 10, 1978.  A member of the teaching staff since 1969,
Krage earlier held the position for a five-year period and coached the junior high
team the year before.  From 1960 to 1969 Krage coached all sports at Cedarville school
system.  "We certainly have some good potential but we'll need a lot of desire, hustle, 
hard work, and luck to win a majority of our games. Hard work will develop the potential. 
And we can always use some good luck."  Krage also was appointed to assist varsity football
coach Chuck Abshagen.  In other Onaway news, Dr. Ken Nelson, DDS, came to Onaway to fill the
very large shoes of its former dentist, Dr. Donald Finch Jr., who moved to Owosso to enter a
more specialized practice...Onaway Chamber of Commerce members were investigating avenues of 
action to clean up some of the decaying buildings on Onaway's main street.
