CAPTION: "Beautiful, just plain beautiful!" that's the way Rogers City coach Stan Lentz and his Hurons looked over the weekend. Fifty years ago, Rogers City went into a doubleheader as underdogs against St. Ignace and Oscoda and pulled out decisive upsets. Jeff Paradise scored 30 against Oscoda and a combined 54 in both games. On Feb. 16, 1968, he set the single-game record with 40 points in an overtime loss to Petoskey. The above picture is Lary Kierzek racing in for a layup against Oscoda.
