1978 - Mary Schwartz Nears the End of Her Reign as Miss Onaway...and...Cub Scout Pack 68 Holds Blue-and-Gold Awards Dinner From Presque Isle County Advance and Onaway Outlook February 22, 2018

  
CAPTION: Miss Onaway Mary Schwartz, who was crowned in April 1977, was getting ready to  have
her reign end. She said the last year was the best year of her life.  She had honored positions
in the Mackinaw City, Posen, Rogers City and Onaway parades. "I met so many people," she said.
Onaway's Chamber of Commerce sent Schwartz to the Miss Michigan Pageant with Onaway pageant
coordinator Marion Lyon.  In other Onaway News, Cub Scouts Pack 68 conducted its annual Blue-and-Gold
dinner.  Approximately 200 Scouts, family members and guests enjoyed a potluck dinner.  Cubmaster
Karl Draugelat presented awards: a Bobcat badge to Dylan Vargos; Wolf badges to Doug Abshagen, Steven
Fleury, Todd Friday, Kurt Wang and Stuart Wright.  Bear badges were received by Kenneth Willey, Rick
Northrup, Richard Robbins, Robert Moon, Tom Hall, Brian Watson, Robert VanStee and Bobby Lennox.
