CAPTION: Nute Chapman, Jr. holds a box containing more than 100 pair of donated glasses that were to be repaired and sent to needy persons all over the world. Chapman, who was president of the Onaway Lions Club said the Lions collected glasses in any shape or condition. In other Onaway news, Myla Horrocks competed in the televised Miss Michigan Universe Pageant and learned a lot about the beauty contest business...Onaway Cardinals' varsity cheerleaders just missed winning in their first try at the Michigan Cheerleaders Coaches Association regional competition. Members of the team include, Lori Gillett, Sally Hart, Julie Hagstrom, Kim Ball, Laurie Koronka, Sherry Davis, Debby Reichel and Wendy Shaw.
