1967 - Onaway's Farm Forum Team Wins at Regional Competition...and...Onaway School Menu From Presque Isle County Advance and Onaway Outlook February 16, 2017

  
CAPTION:  Onaway's Farm Forum team competed and won at a regional competition.  The above photo
appeared 50 years ago. With a win and a gold medal, the seven young men were entitled to a trip 
to Lansing.  The team consisted of Lee Russell, Art Nash, Art Tennant, Tim Horrocks, Cal Maynard,
Jack Lyon and Steve Tennant.  they debated and discussed the problem of safety and the use of 
agricultural chemicals.  Jerry Rogers took second place in the public speaking contest. In other
Onaway News, the school menu had carnival casserole with hamburger on the menu and chicken and gravy
over potatoes on another.
