CAPTION: Christmas season street decorations were completed on Washington and State streets from the junction of M-33/68 junction to Shoemaker store and the ropes of fresh greenery, lights, candy canes and star shaped wreaths added a "Christmassy" glow to the streets of Onaway. The decorations were erected by city employees and employees of the Presque Isle Electric Cooperative, Inc. The co-op equipment was used to string the lights and ropes above the streets. The latest contributions came from Onaway Stone Company, $25; Covell Oil Company of Tower, $5; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hantz, $5; Pinola Resort, Ocqueoc. $2; Gilbert Sales, $5; and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Smith, $2.
