CAPTION: Optimism rose again in Onaway that a replacement had been found to re-open and operate a clothing factory in the old Northern Garment plant building. Negotiations that had been proceeding for several weeks with a Detroit firm resulted in the statement: "We now expect to be in operation in your city by the middle of May." The firm plans to have about 50 persons working and increasing personnel to a total of 100 within a year. In other Onaway News, Mrs. Grace Pregitzer and other Mothers of the Year from 49 other states were going to assemble in New York City to be feted for three days. The ladies were then to travel to Washington D.C. for more festivities.
