CAPTION: As the headlines from 50 years ago states, there was a first aid class conducted in Onaway. It was at the Presque Isle Electric building. The instructor was Robert Nelson left in this photo. In this photo are Angela Kreft, Mara Jane Rotarius and Denise Spens. The youngsters showed off their skills prior to graduating. The young people all nine to 12 years old learned many new skills in the 4-H program put on by Nelson, who was a Red Cross certified instructor. He commended Bill and Ted Badgero for help in instructing the class. In other Onaway News, Army Pvt. 1st Class Henry A. Tillotson, 20, son of Ruby Swan of Onaway, arrived in Vietnam with his unit, the 388th Transportation Company. They had been at Fort Riley, Kansas.
